Week 1: Why I chose my template

Hey there, welcome to my blog! This is the very 1st time I have ever done a blog, or anything of the sort, so I'm very excited to present 'Ridgeway Thoughts'. During the creation I was faced with several options on how to format this blog and what templates to use, so I'm going to briefly explain why I chose what I did.

I've always been a person who believed in finding ways to not over complicate things, but still deliver or perform with quality. When browsing through the templates offered, I had came across the 'picture' option. It was a quick decision that this would be the template for me. It has a very open layout, doesn't seem cluttered, and is easy to look at and navigate to whatever desired section the viewer would prefer. 

Another thing I've always believed is that old saying "a picture is worth one thousand words". My gravitation towards social media has always been those with picture displays along with captions as it always helped set, or feel, the theme of the post. As I learn to customize and personalize this blog more, I'd like to really be able to make the reader 'feel' what I'm posting rather than just read or skim through it. I'm hopeful that through strategic and effective image placement in the layout, I can achieve that. Thanks very much for reading and I hope you enjoy the journey of Ridgeway Thoughts!
